  Erected by Gilbert and David Aitken in memory of their father David Aitken who died at Glasgow 13th July 1832 aged 40 years and their mother Grace Jamieson who died at Drummore 31st March 1846 aged 48 years and their sisters, viz. Agnes Aitken who died at Drummore 22nd Febry. 1841 aged 17 years. Marion Aitken who died at Drummore 1843 aged 14 years. The above Gilbert Aitken died at Liverpool 2nd April 1860 aged 54 years.
