Erected by Wm JAMIESON in Kilstay in memory of Alexander Jamieson late Tenant in Kilstay, his father who died 19th July 1756 AE 80 years and Janet McCORMICK his mother who died 25th Feby. 1763 AE 80 years. Also Agnes JAMIESON, his sister who died 24th Septr. 1790 AE 72 years. Here are interred also the remains of said William JAMIESON who departed this life 10th Feby. 1804 AE 79 years and of his son William who died 16th Decr. 1806 AE 29 years. Also of his spouse Jean PATTERSON who died 22nd Septr. 1820 AE 81 years. Likewise their eldest son Alexander, late Tenant in Low Curghie, who died 16th Feby. 1844 AE 69 years and Margaret, their youngest daughter who died in Kilstay 5th July 1844 AE 60 years. Also Mary, their eldest daughter who died in Kilstay 19th April 1846 AE 68 years. HYSLOP (Fecit) 1846 (Sculptor) (back of stone) Renewed by J & G JAMIESON AD 1846. Interred in front Janet second daughter of Wm JAMIESON erector of this stone who died in Low Curghie 18th June 1848 AE 66 years. Also of Gilbert his youngest son late Tenant in Low Curghie who died there the 25th February 1852 AE 66 years and of John his third son late Tenant in Kilstay who died at Drumore Village 20th April 1853 AE 73 years.
